Disposal of special non-hazardous waste

Collection, transport and disposal of non-hazardous waste in Bergamo

Special non-hazardous waste is all waste from business and commercial activities (not from municipal origin) that does not contain substances that are harmful, dangerous or infectious to the environment, and therefore does not pose a real danger to the ecosystem. This includes waste from wood processing; construction and demolition; waste from agriculture, horticulture, hunting and fishing; packaging; clothing, etc.

They may be solid, liquid or slurry, loose or packaged. They are usually stored and preserved in containers, cisterns or tanks. These storage methods must include the EWC code on the containers for correct identification of the waste and its origin.

Zanetti Arturo offers private companies, public administrations and health authorities a complete service compliant with current legislation regarding the collection, removal, transport and disposal of special non-hazardous waste.

What are special non-hazardous wastes?

All waste is classified by codes according to the European Waste Catalogue. Those considered as ‘hazardous waste’ are marked with an asterisk *, the rest are special non-hazardous waste. Some examples include:

  • concrete, tiles, ceramics;
  • wood, glass, plastic;
  • metals not contaminated with hazardous substances;
  • soil and rocks not contaminated with hazardous substances;
  • animal and plant tissue waste;
  • animal faeces, urine and manure;
  • waste from the baking and confectionery industry;
  • waste from metalliferous mineral extraction;
  • bandages, plaster casts, sheets, disposable clothing, sanitary towels.

Zanetti Arturo handles all the bureaucratic aspects – from permits to authorisations, from preliminary analyses to certifications – so that the customer does not have to deal with these tasks himself. We will then collect and transport the non-hazardous special waste with our own vehicles to authorised recovery and disposal centres.

We operate in Bergamo, Brescia, the surrounding provinces and throughout Lombardy.

DISPOSAL OF SPECIAL NON-HAZARDOUS WASTE

The fact that non-hazardous waste does not contain environmentally harmful or toxic substances does not mean that it cannot be of a polluting nature. This is why all preliminary operations concerning the management of non-hazardous waste are identical to those for hazardous waste management. The classification and correct identification of collection, transport, disposal and recovery procedures are carried out by specialised technicians with long experience in the field, and in-depth knowledge of environmental legislation, to safeguard the customer and the environment at all times.
