What is MUD?
MUD is an acronym that refers to a document to be used in specific circumstances, namely the Single (Environmental) Declaration Form.
This is a written communication that companies must submit to the relevant Chamber of Commerce, indicating how much and what type of waste they produced during the previous year. The purpose of the declaration is to monitor hazardous waste through traceability.
Thanks to decades of experience in handling and transporting hazardous waste, and to the professionalism and continuous training of its employees, Zanetti Arturo offers a dedicated service for the compilation of the Modello Unico di Dichiarazione ambientale (Single Environmental Declaration Form).
Various entities are required to submit this annual declaration, including waste transporters and producers, treatment facilities, intermediaries and waste traders without storage facilities. In particular, companies and entities that are initial producers of hazardous waste and those with more than 10 employees that produce non-hazardous special waste are required to submit the MUD.
Anyone who fails to submit the communication or submits incomplete or inaccurate information is liable to an administrative fine ranging from €2,000 to €10,000.
In this declaration, waste is grouped into six categories (using numerical codes called EWC codes), by producer and origin.
