While municipal waste (or waste assimilated to municipal waste) is generally managed by the municipalities, the proper disposal of industrial waste is the&nbsp;<strong>responsibility of the companies<\/strong>, which can delegate companies in charge of the&nbsp;<strong>recovery and disposal of special waste<\/strong>, to guarantee an efficient and regulated operational programme regarding their treatment,&nbsp;<strong>with zero bureaucratic problems.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:5%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:80px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:5%\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:90%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">The difference between hazardous and non-hazardous special waste<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">All waste is classified by codes according to the l\u2019<strong>European Waste Catalogue<\/strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Those considered as \u2018special hazardous waste\u2019 are differentiated by an asterisk *.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:5%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Special hazardous waste<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"649\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/zanettiarturo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ecoindustry-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-229\" style=\"aspect-ratio:16\/9;object-fit:cover;width:650px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zanettiarturo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ecoindustry-2.png 649w, https:\/\/zanettiarturo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ecoindustry-2-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 649px) 100vw, 649px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Special hazardous waste<\/strong>\u00a0contains a high amount of environmentally hazardous pollutants, such as harmful products, infected or toxic substances, corrosive waste. Their correct management requires a thorough\u00a0<strong>knowledge of current environmental regulations<\/strong>, and imposes a number of precise commitments on the part of the producer of certain wastes for their correct disposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Special hazardous wastes are products that mostly derive from industrial and healthcare establishments such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>asbestos;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>paints;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>exhausted oils;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>solvents;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>chemical waste;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>waste from veterinary medical research;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>medical waste with an infectious risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By law, hazardous special waste requires special treatment aimed at reducing its hazardousness and promoting its recovery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Special non-hazardous waste<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"412\" src=\"https:\/\/zanettiarturo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ecoindustry-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-231\" style=\"aspect-ratio:16\/9;object-fit:cover;width:650px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zanettiarturo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ecoindustry-3.png 550w, https:\/\/zanettiarturo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ecoindustry-3-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Special non-hazardous waste<\/strong>&nbsp;is all waste from business and commercial activities that does not contain high doses of pollutants. In some&nbsp;<strong>cases, special wastes&nbsp;<\/strong>are considered similar to municipal wastes if they consist of materials that can be recovered or disposed of in facilities specifically designed for the treatment of municipal wastes without endangering human health or the environment. Therefore, special waste that can be assimilated with urban waste is all those products, manufactured articles or materials whose disposal does not imply emissions or harmful consequences for the ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With regard to special waste assimilated to municipal waste, Legislative&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazzettaufficiale.it\/eli\/id\/2020\/09\/11\/20G00135\/sg\">Dlgs 116\/2020<\/a>, came into force on 1 January 2021, introducing a new definition of municipal waste: this includes \u201cundifferentiated and separately collected waste from other sources [than domestic waste] that is similar in nature and composition to domestic waste\u201d. \u201cOther sources\u201d refers to all activities that do not fall under the definition of industrial production activities, such as retail, administration, education, food services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Special waste is waste from&nbsp;business and manufacturing activities, e.g. industrial, construction, craft, agricultural or agro-industrial processing waste.
